What We’re Doing
University of Wolverhampton at The Halls is part of AEG Sustainability’s global programme to reduce the impact of live entertainment on the environment and preserve the planet for future generations. As part of this we consistently look for ways to save energy and water, improve recycling rates, purchase environmentally-friendly products and help raise awareness of environmental issues. Some of our key initiatives include:
- Buying 100% REGO-certified electricity from renewable sources
- Utilising a reusable cup system and electric hand dryers to reduce the volume of waste we create
- Installing hands-free taps to reduce water wastage
- Tracking our energy consumption, water usage and recycling rates to identify areas for improvement
- Recycling e-waste responsibly
- Exchanging environmental best practices with other venues via AEG Sustainability

What You Can Do
We’re doing our best to reduce our environmental impact and hope you will join us in our efforts. Here are a few tips to make your visit to University of Wolcerhampton at The Halls more environmentally friendly:
- Consider walking, biking or taking public transit to the venue, as emissions from fan travel make up the largest percentage of our carbon footprint. If you have to drive, perhaps consider carpooling to save on petrol and parking and reduce your carbon footprint.
- Return your cup to the bar when you’re done.
- Let us know if you spot any leaks in the bathrooms.
